Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

The inspiration for this painting as for many of my Australian landscapes came from reading about the evolution of the earth. Blown away by the 40 billion years it has taken to get to this point the colours and shapes of Central Australia represent to me the story of our country and our planet. This is the second in this series and brings the together the richness of the layers using the red ochre colour of, the monoliths that seem timeless. The trees that often have ghostly forms are represented here as impressions rather than realism and show the interconnectedness of land and sky.
One of my favourites to paint I hope you enjoy this never ending story.
