Another in the High Country Victoria series. This time the focus is the Harrietville area setting out to view the surrounding hills and mountain areas, reflecting the setting sun. This painting picks up the light as it casts shadows and highlights various features and foliage. The painting takes elements of the area rather than a realistic view of one part of the rolling hills. The use of many colours; ochres, golden yellow, mauves and greens have added brilliance. The last light highlights the clouds as the dark sky descends.
