The Little Wrens are much-loved Australian Birds. While the male Wren has a beautiful light and dark blue plumage, the female Wren sport a plain but pretty brownish colour. They live in small groups in shrubby bushes, and I can see them almost every day during my walks around the lake in Forest Lake. Apparently, the male fairy-wrens sings to their eggs and their chicks come out recognising their parent’s unique song.

‘Blue Fairy Wren’ is a Mixed Media painting on a 22cm x 22cm Yupo Paper. The background is in abstract Alcohol Ink and the Fairy Wren is painted in Acrylic. It is framed with a black 28cm x 28cm frame with a white mat behind glass. A hanging wire is attached to the back.
