Ahhh.... it's a dog's life! who hasn't said that at some point. In this painting I wanted to capture that pure moment of radiant calm where there are no problems, anxieties or responsibilities. In our perception at least, that's pretty much a dog's life, it certainly is for my dog!The closest parallel human experience for me, were the lazy carefree days of a summer holiday at the beach as a child. This painting oozes serenity with it's mellow pastel tones, bright joyful imagery and is a happy reminder that all can be right with the world, it's just a matter of perception. The sides are painted, its signed on the front, varnished and ready to hang with wire across the back.
