SKY HOUSE
Painting inspired by Mary Oliver’s poem ‘Everything That Was Broken’ and beautiful colours in baroque tapestry.
‘Everything that was broken has
forgotten its brokenness. I live
now in a sky-house, through every
window the sun. Also your presence.
Our touching, our stories. Earthy
and holy both. How can this be, but
it is. Every day has something in
it whose name is Forever.’
COLOUR AND MEDIUM INFO
'Sky House In' features a strong butterscotch pallete contrasted with so soft pink and white, highlighted with metallic gold. Full of texture, lyrical brushstrokes and layers.

SERIES INFO
My Baroque series is influenced by my love of classical music and the depth of emotion hidden there for those who wish to seek its treasures. Baroque silk weaving and tapestry also bind their way into my colour palettes and brush strokes.
Each painting captures a series of thoughts that I ponder during my painting.
