This painting was inspired by a wonderful art expedition to Kakadu in 2019. We climbed the steep hill to the top of Gunlum Falls and were rewarded by this vista and the opportunity to take a cool dip in this gorgeous rock pool in between sketches. The colours and the reflections were spectacular. We felt very fortunate to have this opportunity. This is a very special spot!
