"Candlelight Magic" is my first still life project. I love the soft glow of the candles illuminating objects around them, in this case it's the small bowl as well as the decanter and the glasses. A perfect warm toned piece, imagining soft background music and sitting somewhere cosy. A bit of an old fashioned romantic setting. I created the white lace of the doily using impasto style brush, that is thick painted areas giving it a bit of texture.
