The best way I can put feeling into my paintings is by exploring the subject first so this is a self portrait catching bait for fishing, a great excuse to be out on the water for the day / my favourite pastime!
I was all alone fishing from the Caloundra passage in my kayak and set up on some low tide sand banks pumping yabbies for a days fishing.
All I could hear was the sounds of thousands of soldier crabs moving on the sand and the odd bird call no wind just the tide doing it’s thing.
I love nature the sun the water and the sand I hope this encapsulates my feelings in colour texture and mood.
