This is a self portrait of catching my first tuna off the beach, this is one of my passions being outdoors cruising the beach in my Landcruiser hanging out.
I have first coated my composite board in primers then hand finished Venetian plaster done in 3 layers this is tinted lime. Then I finish with water based sealer allow to dry then I created my ink and oil stick painting over this.
It creates a multi layered effect that I love.
I will frame this with Tasmanian Oak with a domino wash / over the frame so the grain is still apparent.
