Surging waves and surf topped with white lace like foam, power and beauty combined.
This pieces was inspired by Cape Kidnappers in New Zealand. As I looked over the side of the cliff to the rocks and surging waters below, the movement and colours were mesmerising!
The soft teals and blues give an instant colour lift and a little touch of spice to any room.

I paint sketches on paper in the landscape. Small sections of these are used as collage to start the painting and create interesting texture in the early layers. Many layers of acrylic, oil pastel, pencil and sanding are used to build up intrigue, depth and colour.
