My inspiration came from a walk I once took in a park in Alishan 阿里山 in 2015.
There I noticed that every tree wore a metal label with a qr-code. At that time I didn’t scan the code, but ... I fantasized that every tree had its own website where they were showing the highlights of their lives.
Nowadays trees are becoming rare in big cities. They have to make room for more buildings. Sometimes trees are fought for by the inhabitants of a neighbourhood, and some of these city-trees are lucky if they are given conservation status.
At that point they get listed in computers. They are watched. And numbered. This means nowadays some trees indeed have a ‘site’ in the digital world, with their own little data.
