Living in a small town in the New England area of NSW, I am privileged to see some of the most beautiful country gardens in Australia. This artwork was inspired by my friend’s garden in Armidale - a sprawling, layered garden filled with exotics and natives, local rock walls and abundant fauna. It is an absolute joy to be in and this was an absolute joy to paint. Can’t you just see yourself wandering up those steps and into a verdant, colourful haven? This painting is in the impasto style and features rich, vibrant colours in shades of white, green, pink, purple and blue-green, layering and lovely texture. It would look beautiful in any spot - just like looking out a window onto a gorgeous garden.

This painting was completed in superior quality oil paints, mediums and varnish on 12oz canvas, stretched on hardwood stretcher bars. It has been professionally framed in Tasmanian Oak and is ready to hang with D-rings and plastic coated wire.
