This study of a cactus plant shaped like a human heart with arteries growing out of it - is a metaphor for my heart this year (2022). It has seen the loss of two great loves, my husband of 30 years and also, my 16-year-old companion dog.
There are thorns in the heart, but it is crowned by glorious white flowers that signify LIFE. I am grateful for the two lives that intertwined with mine and for the life I have ahead.
