The Swift Parrot is the fastest parrot in the world. It breeds only in Tasmania and is endangered. I am lucky to have rosella parrots in my suburban garden and they just brighten up your life. I used the entry for "Parrots" from my old set of Chambers's Encylopaedia (1924) as a surface for the drawing in watercolour. I like to play with different textures across the surface.
