Number three in my series of Australian rock formations. The Remarkables are a group of granite boulders on Kangaroo Island, South Australia. It took 500 million years for the wind and water to carve them into fantastic shapes. The rocks are pale yellow in colour, crowned with bright orange lichens, but I have chosen to interpret them in a pale cool light that emphasizes their mystery and ancient character.
