While listening to Vivaldi's 'Spring' and enjoying warmer weather in my sunny studio (my happy place), the paint brush took over and insisted on bright colours and shapes. This is not my usual, graphic botanical style, but captures my mood better than any well planned work ever could.
This original painting features layers of oil paint and collage from several vintage children's books, such as May Gibbs' "Snugglepot and Cuddlepie," and is painted on a sturdy, wooden board with thick edges. I hope it brings joy to its forever home.
