Lost Horizons has been created by using various fluid art techniques. I have combined an intriguing colour palette of watery blues, dreamy whites, misty greens and glimpses of coral which flow in abundance over the canvas to capture movement, depth, light, energy, form and texture to the painting to evoke a sense of belonging and connection to the sublime beauty of this seascape, in a world where art energy and nature play together in a game of mesmerizing colour and intrigue.
Like many other artists Mother Nature is my inspiration for many of my artworks and "Lost Horizons" is no different. I am surrounded by magnificent waterways, oceans , bays and beaches so this is my Ikigai.
I never stop experimenting, taking risks and pushing the boundaries into the unknown world of fluid art and its potential, and in my mind I see this abstract painting not just as art but a journey to self-discovery and revelation through the freedom this art form allows.

I have used top quality grade artists acrylic paints and a sturdy canvas and coated the painting with 3 layers of archival varnish to protect it from U V rays. The float frame is a beautiful timber oak as seen on the image which really elevates the overall sophisication to the work.
A one of a kind piece that can never be replicated. This artwork is far for impactful viewed in person rather than any image on a screen as the detail really comes alive and can be fully appreciated.

Coming from a family of artists, I have been surrounded by creativity and artistic expression throughout my life, which has significantly shaped my approach to art today.
I was born in Sydney NSW and have been living on the beautiful Gold Coast in QLD for the last 16years.
My art style is modern contemporary/abstract, sometimes leaning towards impressionism and the techniques I use in this art form have captured a new edgy perspective from the usual fluid art experience. I mainly use acrylic paints with polymer as a flow medium, although I also love to use alcohol ink as another medium.

My practice explores fluid art as a means of interpreting the essence of place beyond literal representation.
Inspired by the movement of coastal waters and the raw beauty of the Australian landscape, I work with colour, organic forms, layered compositions, textures and transparency to evoke the character and atmosphere of a place.

Balancing intuition with intension , I embrace the unpredictable nature of the medium while carefully guiding each work towards its own identity. For me, fluid art is more than the creation of patterns; it is a process of discovery, where movement, depth and unexpected details come together to express a feeling, a sense of place and a story of its own.

I want each work to offer more than an image- a feeling a connection, or a place the observer can return to in their imagination.

My artworks are held in private collections throughout Australia and abroad and have also been represented in many galleries across Queensland and NSW and internationally.
