My artwork is inspired by the majestic Australian Scribble bark, a native eucalyptus tree that provides vital food and shelter for the koalas. I use acrylic inks and fine line work to create a contrast between the dark and rough bark and the bright and smooth leaves. I paint on handmade paper that incorporates Australian native grasses, adding texture and depth to the composition. My intention is to capture the beauty and resilience of this remarkable tree and its role in the ecosystem. I hope to evoke a sense of awe and appreciation for the natural wonders of Australia.
