Artwork Description

Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

"That way might be better!" is based on a photograph I took while out and about one day. The lady's dog was obviously not too keen on walking past the one owned by the gentleman. The scene was a great inspiration for a narrative painting.

The Clarence City Council holds a "Dogs' day out" each year and in conjunction, a "Poochibald" exhibition. I felt that this scene would be a fitting entry. It's always a wonderful exhibition, including a fair number of junior entries, picturing their furry friends.

My painting is in oils on a gallery wrapped canvas. I have extended the painting to the outside edges so that the images appears to be visible, even from a side-angle. However, it could be framed in a box frame or similar, if desired. It is ready to hang.
