The natural world inspires my work. This little painting is inspired by scenery I saw one day while driving home: This grey sky with a hint of warm cadmium yellow on the horizon. Then of course eucalyptus trees are my main features. Although grey is sometimes considered as moody and dull, I find this hue surprisingly beautiful and enchanting in its own way. Being a neural colour it complements all the other colourful elements of nature such as trees, hills, rocks and shrubs.
