This slightly damaged artwork i bought for 3 dollars is worth lots more because i put paint on it that looks like a famous brand indicative of a higher social status. If that doesnt make sense just remember thats what this brand does,all brands do and we buy into it....dont worry im taking the piss out of myself here too, im a sucker for consumerism in my own way, i would love some off white clothes, but then to pay 10 times what theyre worth originally for a person to put some stripes and the words off white on the side is a bit too far....i will only pay 7 times what theyre really worth at best. I love and hate consumerism, perhaps we all do, its part of the human condition. This artwork explores that in a humorous light. Now excuse me while i go and spend an unthinkable amount of cash on a pair of shoes that will go out of style in a month...dont judge me its art.
