This is one of the first pen based sketches i did that ignited my love of portraits back in 2016. It is raw, it has smudges, uneven edges and was almost entirely experimental...and this is why i love it. This is an image of an Australian rapper L-Fresh the Lion, he is one of many people who i admire greatly, his work as a rhymer but also as an advocate for human rights is inspiring. the lack of eyes in this picture like many others created at this time came due to my fascination with how people looked without them, i wanted to see what a lack of eyes could reveal about a person. but i suppose its up to you to decide just what that is.
