This artwork was based on a sketch I did a while ago that I was going to submit for the Maritime Art Prize, its interesting that the reason i didnt submit it is because i didnt finish it in time due to a huge work load from my job as a teacher. Being worn weary is something that happens all the time when you try to balance your two passions, but tides change. For me this portrait really captures that feeling I had.
