Lambertia Formosa is a flowering shrub that is endemic to NSW, Australia and one of my favourite flowers to spot as I'm bush walking in the Bouddi National Park.
I love the colour of the flowerheads, the pinky red glows through the heathland beckoning the honeyeaters!
This artwork began as a collage on cradled wood. I added acrylic paint and pen and then torn pieces of hand painted paper as collage over the top with leaves.
You can see the texture coming through which helps to portray the rugged heathland where these beauties grow.
Ready to hang with wire attached.
Framed in a beautiful oak frame
