When constantly faced with storms in our life it's sometimes easier to just let go and be consumed by the pain and exhaustion...than it is to fight. As a result we spiral further into what seems like a bottomless pit of despair and darkness. Do you know this feeling?
I've had recent years of trauma, grief, pain and loss, along with endless health issues...there seemed no end in sight. I've just had to cope. Had to fight; for my kids, for my health, for my family. But I haven't been alone. Through it all there's been glimmers of hope and light. Hope met me in the hurting through praying friends and family. Compassion came in the kindness of strangers. Light by way of silver linings that shone through darkness at just right the moment to inspire, encourage, and move me forward.
Now when dark, stormy seasons threaten (and they always do), I choose to look for those silver linings, trusting they will be there.
This evoking artwork while dark and dramatic, inspires and encourages me with its contrasting light and warmth; a reminder to keep fighting, keep looking, keep persevering through the darkness...because there’s light coming.
Created with palette knives and loose brush work, it is framed in a natural solid Beech timber frame. It comes satin varnished, and with a COA.
Thank you for considering my painting for your space. A large statement artwork that I hope will encourage and inspire you through any dark stormy times too.
NB: While every effort is made to capture the true colours and details of my artwork, every screen is different and art viewed online does not do my work justice. Slight differences may be evident between a screen image and the true tone and textures of my work, which is more vivid and beautiful in reality. Scale may also be slightly off due to the insitu art app used, so please ensure you measure your space.
