A composite image made up of various photographs taken by me to create a new uncluttered slightly surreal landscape, generally somewhere you wouldn't expect to find it, an ‘un-scene’ if you like. Elements are selected for similar lighting, street furniture and clutter removed in Photoshop, and toned to blend in with their new environments. Most images belong to a 3 part themed series, have a white border and include a certificate which tells the story and inspiration behind each image.
Each print has a digital signature bottom corner of the image and a white border for framing.
Over my years of photographic travels, I have come across some bizarre contraptions. Most semi buried in the earth and too hard to use in a composite image, but the odd one is usable. Most of these are found in outback places.
The inland sea idea came from recent flooding in Queensland with the creation of these vast floodplains filling up so quickly and extending for miles.
In this contraption, you may explore and leave no tracks, not get bogged or hit any kangaroos. It’s a “cruisy” option, though not sure where the nearest refueling will be for this. Also high and dry from the inland sea making an appearance.
Found in Hamilton Gardens, NZ. Background and foreground from the surrounds of Winton, QLD.
