This painting is centred around my time living back in the UK, and my love of the harbour & fishing boats at St Ives In Cornwall. I love painting a 'different view-point' and became well known for this wonky aerial viewpoint in my work.
I also love to use vibrant colours in my work, from this teal, turquoise, blues, through to the pinks, maroons and that slight touch of yellow. This area of Cornwall is known for it's magic light, so I like to bring in that element somewhere in the work.
