Taken after the rain on Princes Pier in Port Melbourne. for those subtle reflections
Princes Pier was completed in 1915 and up until 1969 was a major arrival point for new immigrants to Melbourne, particularly post war. It's a very popular photography spot, with the old pillars especially drawing snappers from far and wide with their ND filters. It was closed to the public in the early 1990s when it fell into disrepair through misuse. In 2006 a restoration project was announced, with the main decking being updated, and the majority of the pier platform being removed while retaining the original support pillars.
I've chosen this size, i think the subject and medium lends itself to being on the larger size. As a photograph, i have flexibility with sizing, so please get in touch if you have other ideas around sizing (and paper)
