The Dance is a small acrylic painting on a stretcher canvas. This painting was inspired by my large geometric painting referencing Covid-19. Painting neat squares and triangles gives me equal doses of pleasure and pain.
The pleasure stems back to my career as a signwriter, I am well trained in painting neatly. The pain comes from getting older and developing a shaky hand. I struggle to control the involuntary shaking, which makes straight lines a real challenge. You guessed it... I like a challenge!
