Inspired by both nature and my imagination, vibrant colours form shapes and lines which might suggest waterways and trees. Complimentary colours such as ochres and blues are in perfect balance with deep burgundy and tones of brown.Bright and colourful native Australian plants dominate in this expressive abstract. Mustards, greens, apricots and yellows are accents among soft greys and neutrals.Painted in warm colours such as peach and ochre this painting is an abstract of a garden. Various mark making techniques plus printing have contributed interest and dynamics.Ochres, pinks and greens were built up, forming an image of ancient mountains. A body of water in a gentle blue is placed towards the front, and the foreground consists of wispy grasses and vegetation.
