I wanted to share the joy I feel amongst beautiful plants and flowers. At times I printed directly onto the canvas with leaves and foliage from my garden to give a feeling of authenticity and warmth. The colour palette is bright yet earthy and this painting will hopefully remind the viewer of the quiet beauty that can be found in our surroundings.

Inspired by both nature and my imagination, vibrant colours form shapes and lines which might suggest waterways and trees. Complimentary colours such as ochres and blues are in perfect balance with deep burgundy and tones of brown.Painted in a warm colour palette of pinks, ochres,and soft olive greens, this is an abstract representation of a walled garden where all the elements dance in profusion.Bright and colourful native Australian plants dominate in this expressive abstract. Mustards, greens, apricots and yellows are accents among soft greys and neutrals.Ochres, pinks and greens were built up, forming an image of ancient mountains. A body of water in a gentle blue is placed towards the front, and the foreground consists of wispy grasses and vegetation.
