Etching on paper
Signed and numbered on the front.
βInner Worldsβ is an exploration of then unseen, what is underneath the surface. I am interested in the subconscious, the inner workings of the heart and mind. In this work I had become interested in the network systems within the body, particularly the heart and the brain. I came across the βHeart Brainβ theory and the idea of the heart sending messages to the brain. This work looks at hidden network systems within the body, I find connections and similarities with the networks of the root systems of trees and how they communicate with each other through their Mycorrhizal network, sending nutrients to each other when they are stressed. This artwork is made up of 14 mini etching panels of 6 x 9.5 cms each printed on handmade Japanese Kozo paper with soft deckled irregular edges. The artwork is mounted and unframed.
