Oil on wood, ready to hang.

Loving the little things…. Expanding my boundaries in the use of oil paints, I’ve decided I’m in love.
Enjoyed the buttery texture of the oil and mediums and to create a loose abstract floral which I think I’ve achieved without it being to structurally.
Pops of lime, yellow and orange have been left to peek thru with larger pink/magenta combination as the main floral structures.
Blocks of tonal gray /violet to ground and slow areas to support and balance the work.
The work has been done with palette knives and brissel brush.
Due to the heavy texture I’ve choose a birch ply mounted panel, leaving a lovely detail of the timber on the sides, ready to hang.
It will require a solid wall fixing due to weight.
