Artwork Description

Capture the timeless elegance of a nostalgic era with this charming postcard-sized portrait. Adorned in a soft pink coat, the middle-aged lady exudes a wistful aura, her black hat embellished with delicate white pearls framing her face. With a slender, porcelain-white nose and lopsided ruby-red lips, her wide, round black eyes convey a sense of surprise, as if caught in a moment of reverie. Her sleek black hair and vintage attire evoke the allure of the 1950s or 1960s, transporting viewers to a bygone era of sophistication. This miniature painting encapsulates a fleeting encounter, as if she's been momentarily paused by a passerby, making it the perfect addition to any art collection. This piece comes in a quality handmade Tasmanian Oak Wooden floating frame.

I'm an artist based on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, where I create in a variety of styles and mediums. My practice is rooted in a love for vibrant colour and expressive form, spanning from quirky naïve art and linocut prints to abstract works, portraits, surrealism, and impressionism.
