Anemones symbolise relaxation and living in the moment. I painted this to serve as a reminder to slow down, and just enjoy right now. The little glass jar holding the blooms is simple and unadorned, as if someone had walked among the wildflowers and picking a little bundle to take home, sticking them in a spare jar to just enjoy them and have them there, brightening the space.

I did an acrylic undercoat of the peachy pink, and then sketched out the initial image using charcoal. I then loosely painted in with gouache, purposely trying to keep it looks free and wild and unstructured.
