A simplistic black ink drawing using bold lines to show shape and form of the teapot and cups.
With the use of gouache paint, I blended the blues and greens on the teapot and cups to create unity of the objects on my artwork. The use of a repeated pattern panel behind the teapot, is seen as a tablecloth and gives weight to the design. I softened the design by using cherry blossoms in the top corner and a simple floral design on the teapot and cups.
Gold gouache was used inside the cups, teapot and on the handle of the teapot for visual impact. The painting was finished off by using the same blue and green in a colored strip on the top and bottom of the work.
