This is variation of Marina Reflections 1 (now sold) showing the stern of the boat in the top left corner and the red rope hanging down just above the water. Having lived aboard my yacht 'Prelude' in the Manly marina for several years, I came to study the reflections boats and masts make on the water at various time of the day. Breezes over the water would be distorted by the boats, forming interesting juxtapositions of relatively still water and eddies of ripples in various directions. This painting is a close up of one of those pieces of water - verging on the abstract.
This piece is framed in a simple white frame 55 x 75 x 1.7 cm with opening size 34.3 x 53 cm.
