This painting is inspired by the beautiful coleus plants grown around my neighborhood. I painted it during wintertime during lockdown period where the sky was grey and there was little to look forward to. I wanted to paint something colorful and uplifting but also detailed. Recreating this plant on to canvas was a long project with intricate details with every single leaf needing a lot of time and attention but in the end, it was a rewarding painting to complete with the bright pinks and greens contrasting well together which is a palette haven't done much in the past
