Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the front.
It was painted during the Wauchope Lasiandra Festival, which celebrates the flowering of this popular flower. Upon further research, the native variety bears a small fruit, which may turn your tongue blue when eaten! I paired the bloom with our Australian native blue tongue lizard, which shares the common name of 'blue tongue' with the flowering fruit. This pop of colour will brighten a fun space and pair nicely with other Australiana decor.
