"Fantasy in Indigo 1 " by Anica Amphlett is an original watercolour painting and requires framing to hang.

This is the third painting in my new abstract series and a perfect companion to "Fantasy in Indigo 2".
Fantasy in Indigo number one is painted in shades of indigo , a little soft yellow and Kyanite Genuine which is a light version of Indigo with a shimmer to it.

I let the paint flow freely from the heart, not the mind. By doing so, I was uncertain of what would emerge on the paper, merely waiting to discover the outcome. The brush seemed to move on its own... and when the mind attempted to intervene, I paused, took a breath, and resumed only when I felt prepared.

In the second part of the painting, I observed and contemplated the emerging patterns. The curly lines inspired me to depict a bird, while the wavy lines below suggested the form of a vase.

I have emerged from this experience feeling rejuvenated, and I hope this painting also brings you joy.
