Our neighbourhood gardens have come alive this Spring with the stunning blooms of pink magnolias. They are a striking combination of robustness and delicacy, and as the flowering season gradually comes to an end, the vivid green foliage begins to unfold, announcing the arrival of Summer.

My style of painting combines both loose strokes and detailed ones, as I aim to capture the delicate nature of my subject. I am slowly loosening the reigns on myself and allowing the magical nature of the medium to do its own thing.
