Watercolour on paper
Signed on the front.
Warm welcome to Sussex by Anica Amphlett is an original watercolour painting and requires framing to hang with an option to have the painting framed as pictured above, see comments below.
Recently, we visited Sussex Inlet and felt a warm welcome by no other than the friendly quirky pelicans painted on the side of the gorgeous boat shed at the end of the main street. Next time we go there, I must find out the name of the artist who painted them and congratulate him or her. These animated pelicans are happy, fun and lively and really add to the spirit of the island township of Sussex Inlet on the South Coast of NSW.
Mission: I strive to express emotion in my artwork and hope it resonates with you too. I hope that it evokes a positive feeling of joyful peace and that it brightens up a special spot in your home. My style is a combination of looseness and detail, allowing watercolour to do its magic and then adding some detail bringing the subject to life.
Images: For better on-screen viewing, the painting has been professionally scanned depicting the colours as true as possible .
If you like the framing above, let me explain how it is done. As this is a watercolour painting on paper, I firstly mount it to 5mm thick Gatorboard which is the latest in lightweight, highly durable surfaces that never warp. Later, the painting has several coats of UV protection, then finally a couple of coatings of sealing protection, which makes your painting resistant to moisture, dirt, dust and gives it a lovely finish. Framed like this, you will have full enjoyment of the image with no glare, and is easy to clean if necessary, just wipe over with a slightly damp cloth. The wooden frame is 6cm wide, natural looking and classed as lime wash.
Let the friendly team at Bluethumb know if you'd like to go with this option, as the price then changes to $650 and the outside dimensions of the framed piece are 61cm x 41cm. I will need four to five days to go through the process.
Shipping: This painting will be sent in a flat pack and include a signed certificate of authenticity. Sent with Australia Post, fully insured requiring a signature upon receipt.
