I admire the pandanus palms that line many of the beaches in southern Queensland and northern NSW,. You can see how they often get buffeted by strong winds and high tides, as they cling to the edge of rocky headlands. I love the sculptural shapes of their trunks, branches and leaves. I tried to capture all of this in this painting titled Resilience.
