Up for grabs is one of my latest vibrant abstract landscape paintings.
I have a long connection with Clifton Beach in southern Tasmania. In my youth I lived there in an old beach shack, surfed and made art. This painting came from my subconscious memories of this place. It could be any beach anywhere, but to me the colours of the sky and sea evoke Clifton Beach in high summer.
The work is made intuitively with viscous acrylic paint applied with a palette knife.
