The LIGHT FASCINATES US... FILLS US... ILLUMINATES US... SUSTAINS US. DANCES WITHIN US... like LIGHT DANCES ON Water. Some of US, are even "LIGHT-BEARERS". WE GENERATE Our Own SOURCE OF LIGHT. Which We "RADIATE"... THROUGH Our Physical BEING, Our SPIRITUAL PRESENCE, and the WAY WE LIVE and THINK. Those Of US, Who ARE SO... THROUGH Our WORDS, ACTIONS, IDEAS and IDEALS... Many Of US ARE ATTRACTED TO COLOUR. WE "FEED" Upon COLOUR... Like Hummingbirds, and Other Nectar-Eaters FEED Upon the SWEET NECTAR of All Kinds Of FLOWERS In A GARDEN, Or IN WILD HABITATS. ARE ESSENTIALLY "COLOURFUL CHARACTERS" OURSELVES, IN Some SIGNIFICANT WAY OR ANOTHER. IN So Many, Different HUES, SHADES, and COLOUR "HARMONIES". Not Only DO WE LOVE COLOUR Around US, and ARE ESSENTIALLY "FILLED" WITH COLOUR... WE ADD MORE To This WORLD, By the Very NATURE Of Our BEING. BY BEING TRUE TO OURSELVES. BY LIVING CREATIVELY... SPONTANEOUSLY... WE HELP "ENLIVEN" what would Otherwise BE, A Very Dull EXISTENCE For Other People. WE "ENTERTAIN", and "ENRICH" This WORLD With OUR COLOURFUL ESSENCE. By Leaving "TRACES" Of "COLOUR" Wherever WE GO, Whatever WE DO Or SAY... Upon This Physical WORLD. But Also Upon the HEARTS, MINDS, and SPIRITS of Other People, THROUGH OUR CREATIVE "WORKS". FOR ANYONE WHO CAN APPRECIATE OUR "COLOURFUL" EXISTENCE.

WE ARE ALL UNIQUE INDIVIDUALS. Yet Some Of US POSSESS A "SPECIAL" QUALITY, Or An "INTERESTING" BLEND Of Several QUALITIES... HAVE A "PRESENCE" About US. An ESSENTIAL "DIFFERENTNESS" About US. That MAKES US "STAND OUT" In A "Crowd". A Certain Kind Of CHARISMA, Or "BEAUTY", Or TALENT, Or SKILL. That DRAWS OUR ATTENTION, INTRIGUES. CAN Even FASCINATE, "ENCHANT" Or "CAPTIVATE". Those Of US Who DO... ARE "EPITOMES". EMBODY CERTAIN "IDEALS". BECOME "LEADERS", "Celebrities", "Champions", "Heroes", "Heroines", Or "Stars". Can DO No Wrong, Unless WE Fall From "GRACE". WE LEAD BY EXAMPLE... NATURALLY INSPIRE. CAN "ACT" AS "MUSES", And Sometimes AMUSE As Well. Usually... WE MAKE This WORLD A More INTERESTING PLACE. By ENCOURAGING Other People to TRY To BE a BETTER VERSION Of THEMSELVES... Just By BEING OURSELVES.

Although Sometimes, Other People TRY To "WORSHIP" Those Of US, That They DEEM "GREATER Than" Most Of US, INSTEAD. ARE So Unhappy With Their Own LIVES, And/Or Bodies, Physical Appearances, INNATE ABILITIES... So Low In SELF-ESTEEM... They WISH To "BECOME" The Ones They ADMIRE So Much... Would Rather Deny Their Own UNIQUENESS, To Be Wanna BE's Of Whom They PERCEIVE To BE The "Higher Thans". INSTEAD OF EMBRACING WHAT MAKES THEM "SPECIAL". Which I FIND Sad and Tragic.

There ARE Many Types Of "Darkness". There is the NATURAL Darkness of NIGHT, and a NIGHT SKY FILLED With STARS, And Other Planets. The Darkness that is Under GROUND... EXISTS in Caves, Grottoes, Tunnels, Mines, Wells, and Sinkholes (at Certain Depths). The Darkness that EXISTS at the DEEPER Depths of the Ocean, Where LIGHT Cannot PENETRATE. The Darkness FOUND IN DEEP FORESTS, PRIMORDIAL RAIN FORESTS, and VAST JUNGLES. The Darkness that CAN BE SEEN in the COLOUR of a Person's Skin, Hair or Eyes. The Darkness ALSO SEEN in Various Other Kinds of LIFE FORMS, That EXIST IN Or ON This WORLD.

Those of US Who ARE "ADAPTED" To WORKING, And/Or LIVING IN NATURAL Darkness... CAN SEE The BEAUTY Of The Night. That Most People Who Generally LIVE By DAY, ARE Unaware Of. There are ALL Kinds of Creatures IN This WORLD that ARE NATURALLY, Or PRIMARILY NOCTURNAL. Some Quite BEAUTIFUL, FASCINATING, and SERVE An ESSENTIAL ROLE And PURPOSE, in the "Overall SCHEME Of Things". Such as Moths, Sugar Gliders, Bats, Owls and Fireflies, to Name a Few.

Many of US Have a Lot of Superstitions, INSTINCTIVE Fears, and BELIEFS CONCERNING "Darkness". Let's FACE IT... COLLECTIVELY, WE As A Species have Thousands, if not Millions Of STORIES, MYTHS, LEGENDS, and FOLK TALES about What "Evil" Creatures MAY Lurk WITHIN Dark Places, and Under the Cover of Darkness. That doesn't necessarily mean Anyone or Any Creature Who LIVES, Or IS ACTIVE IN NATURAL Darkness IS "Evil". Although Those Who Shun the LIGHT, MAY BE. For That Which IS "Evil" Generally PREFERS To HIDE, and Hunts IN "Darkness" of ANY Kind. BECAUSE It IS EASIER To Stalk, Capture, and Kill Their Intended "Prey", By Surprise, and By Ambush. Also BECAUSE "Darkness" HELPS That Which IS "Evil"... To AVOID DISCOVERY, To AVOID BEING Captured, Or Destroyed. However... Some "Evils" Have "ADAPTED". NOWADAYS... "HIDE" IN The LIGHT Of DAY... "IN PLAIN SIGHT". Don't BE Fooled.

Some of US, PREFER To EMBRACE, and DWELL in NATURAL Darkness. Are NATURALLY "NOCTURNAL". Or ARE "LIMINAL" BEINGS... NATURALLY LIVE ON THE "EDGE" BETWEEN LIGHT and DARK. ARE Most ACTIVE, Just Before, and After Sunrise... And/Or at TWILIGHT. A "MAGICAL TIME" FOR ME, I MUST ADMIT. But I was BORN Around SUNSET... At the INSTANT The FULL MOON WAS RISING On The Horizon... As Near As I Can CALCULATE. So I Have My REASONS.

There IS A SAYING... "The BRIGHTER the LIGHT, the DEEPER the Shadow." Almost ALL of US, have a "Dark Side". That "Type" Of "Darkness" Can BE Merely A Forced Repression Of A NATURAL TENDENCY... such as CREATIVITY, IN An Individual LIVING IN A FAMILY, With Any Dominant Authority Figures Who SEE CREATIVITY As An Undesirable QUALITY and Unacceptable BEHAVIOR... As A "Waste Of Time And Money", For Instance. Or Homosexuality, IN An Individual Who LIVES IN A CULTURE That Forbids Homosexual Acts, and Would Torture and Kill Anyone DISCOVERED To BE A Homosexual. WE ARE WHAT WE ARE... REGARDLESS OF Taboos, Imposed Cultural Restrictions, and Social Conditioning.

However... There ARE Types Of "Darkness" IN Our COLLECTIVE HUMAN PSYCHE That ARE Darker Than ANY NATURAL FORM Of Darkness. Should BE Feared AND CONTROLLED, IF They Cannot BE ERADICATED. CAN MANIFEST IN Many, Many WAYS. As Bullying, Greed, Selfishness, Intolerance, Ignorance, Cruelty, Sadism, Perversion, Lust, Hate, Fanaticism, Apathy, Etc. That MAKES Some Of US... "Monsters And Demons-IN- HUMAN DISGUISE". CAPABLE Of CAUSING A Tremendous Amount Of Pain and Suffering, For ALL People... IN FACT, ALL LIVING Creatures, Whose LIVES They "TOUCH". DIRECTLY And Indirectly, BY ASSOCIATION. For WE ARE ALL CONNECTED IN THE "WEB OF LIFE". CAPABLE Of COMMITTING Terrible Atrocities, in Times Of War, AND "Peace". ESSENTIALLY "SOUL-LESS". Lacking EMPATHY, COMPASSION. Incapable Of HIGHER EMOTIONS Such As LOVE, Or GENEROSITY OF SPIRIT. With "Twisted" IMAGINATIONS, "Dark" THOUGHTS, and HEARTS "Corrupted" - Either "Frozen", Or "Turned" To "Stone". Who Torture, Maim, and Kill For "Sick" PLEASURE. CREATES Predators "INHUMANE"... Or "Something ELSE". That Most People Could Never COMPREHEND. Could Never Even DREAM Of, In Their Worst Nightmares. INHERENTLY "Toxic" and So Destructive, IT CAN Destroy ALL HUMAN CIVILISATION, ALL LIFE On This WORLD, IF WE ALLOW IT TO.
