Artwork Description

Oil on linen, ready to hang.

Signed on the back.

This work uses a palette knife, a landscape technique pioneered by French painter Gustave Courbet. The image follows an earlier painting trip to Central Australia but was carried out in the studio during Covid lockdown. I was inspired by the ghost gums growing out of the blocklike rocky scree slopes of the gorges. This painting has strong colours and would be a highlight on any wall.
