"Road through the Forest 11" is a lively exploration of colour and texture, capturing the essence of a journey into the heart of nature. As an artist, I wanted this piece to be dynamic and full of energy, so I approached it with bold, expressive brushwork. The road, winding its way through the forest, becomes a conduit to adventure and discovery. To bring this scene to life, I used palette knives, rags, and even plastic bags—each tool helping to add a different layer of texture and depth to the painting. The visible marks, rough surfaces, and vibrant splashes of color create a tactile experience, inviting the viewer to feel the motion of the landscape and the pulse of the natural world. The forest itself is alive with rich hues that vibrate off the canvas, echoing the vitality of the trees, the earth, and the sky. It's a piece that celebrates the journey and the beauty of the path less traveled.
