The work employs a reflective nostalgia that savours the story books, dolls, fabric patterns and décor of my formative years. The work is an unapologetic, unpretentious romp through a gendered, Eurocentric 1960s Australian childhood. Story book fish did not reflect the Flat Head caught on the family caravan holidays of my childhood. The worms didn't smile as a I pushed them onto the hook.
