During one of the various Victorian lockdowns, stems of native flowers around my home kept me inspired to paint. The Protea has always been a long held favourite of mine, even dried it still has the most beautiful poise and palette.
It is a mixture of wet on wet watercolour, with ink and copper metallic acrylic detailing.
This piece would really suit a neutral room, with quiet, natural colours. It has a Banksia partner too, and would ideally sit alongside it, sitting on the right hand side, as styled.
