This work is part of a series entitled "Romancing the Landscape" which highlights a romantic and nostalgic approach to my landscape painting and focuses on the significance of location to my family history or to social history and a places “Memories”. This is inspired by a childhood spent in a beach side suburb and focuses on contemplative isolation spent on the rocks at a suburban beach.
